Work your way through this alphabetical maze and earn as many points as you can. To start, click on any letter in the grid. On each subsequent turn, click any uncircled letter in the same row, column, or diagonal as the previous letter circled. You may not select a blank space or a previously circled letter. Double-click to unselect a letter if you wish to choose another route. Each letter appears exactly three times on the grid, and there are three blank spaces.
If the newest letter circled comes immediately after the previous letter in the alphabet (such as EF), score two points. If the newest letter follows the previous letter in the alphabet, but not immediately (such as EK), score one point. If the newest letter is identical to or comes before the previous letter circled (such as EE or EC), score zero. The game ends when you score your third zero or you have no legal moves.
If you wish, you can keep track of your moves by writing down the numbers running down the left side and across the top of the grid, naming the side number first. For example, if you circle the third letter in the top row (W) on your fifth move and it's worth two points, you would write: 5. 1,3 (W-2). Our best score is 80 (click here to see how we did it). Can you match it? Can you beat it?
