For Example

If you fill in the blanks correctly in any item below, you will discover a word or phrase that is an example of a category represented by the letters omitted. To discover that category, simply arrange those letters in the proper order. In the example, the letters T, I, C, and Y have been left out of UTICA, NEW YORK. Those letters, anagrammed, spell CITY, a category to which Utica, NY, obviously belongs.

    EXAMPLE: U__ __ __A, NEW __ORK = __ __ __ __

In the puzzles below, you can click on the blank spaces to reveal the missing letters; then, click on the question mark to find the final answer. For a printer-friendly file of "For Example," click on the link below. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this file.
