Crossnames

Each of the 5 x 5 puzzles contains five famous names, and each 6 x 6 contains six. Your goal is to find all the names in each set of squares.

To do so, choose a column and, picking one letter from each square in order from top to bottom, find a first name that you think belongs to a famous person. Write this name in the appropriately numbered spaces. For example, in Puzzle I the first column (1) yields the name RALPH. Write that name in the spaces next to #1 below the set of squares.

Continue finding first names as long as you wish. At any point you can choose a row and, picking one letter from each square in order from left to right, find a last name. If it matches up with a first name you discovered earlier, write it in those spaces. Each letter in a box is used once and only once, so when you are certain you have found a name, cross out all the letters in it.
