Author-ized Quotes

Each “sentence” is really a quotation by a famous writer with that person’s name interspersed throughout the sentence, the letters re-spaced, and apostrophes and commas (if any) omitted. Your job is to find and remove the letters of the author’s name, which appear in correct order, then uncover the original quotation by correctly spacing the remaining letters. For example, in #1, if you mouse over the letters, the blue letters, in order, spell WILL ROGERS. When these letters are removed, those that remain spell “Politics is applesauce.” Click on the question marks to confirm the correct answer!
